Helmets:    Because the new SA2010 helmets are not widely available as of yet, an SA2000 or SA2005 or a large soup bowl with a Velcro chin strap is acceptable (pending tech inspection) for 2010 ice racing. It is likely that the requirements for 2010 road racing and 2011 ice racing will be SA2005 or SA2010 only.

HANS Device:    Hans device is mandatory for 2010 road racing and 2011 ice racing.

Seat Belts:    Seat belts must be less than two years old (must have a date stamp tag) and appear in good condition when ice racing starts. Belts stamped as January 2008 or older have expired, as well as yellow nylon rope that is sun bleached.

Radios:    FRS / GMRS radios required for instructions from race control (these are standard issue radios available at "Canadian Tire", "The Source" and other fine stores...)

Race licenses and club memberships:    Should be purchased on or before Jan 6, which is the last club meeting before the ice race schedule starts. Or you can try to bribe the officials on race day...
